Remember what homework was like: It's hard to work in the bedroom if everyone else is having fun watching television in the den.ħ. Some kids do better with soft instrumental music playing in the background.

Your child may perform best if everyone in the family reads or writes during homework time.

Give your child enough quiet time to finish the assignment. Try not to talk on the phone in the same room.
